Course Overview:

This qualification reflects the roles of community services, case management and social housing workers involved in the managing, co-ordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services to individuals, groups and communities. At this level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously under broad directions from senior management. 

Our Diploma of Community Services is also ACWA (Australian Community Workers Association) accredited.  

You will also have to undertake 400 hours of mandatory work placement as part of this qualification.  Any travel and accommodation costs incurred by work placement will be the responsibility of the students. Before you start your practical placement, you will need to provide the following:

-          International Police Check
-          Victorian Police Check
-          Working with Children Check (WWCC)

All students required to attend on-site learning must be fully vaccinated in line with Bendigo TAFE’s Vaccination Policy.

Course Prerequisites

Academic: Australian Year 12 equivalency or higher

English language: Academic IELTS 5.5 no band less than 5.0 overall or recognised equivalency.


Assessment
Examination or testing, practical assessment, project work, role plays and simulated experiences, written assessment.
